With all that being said, I guess my question is what docking station are you using with your three or four monitor setup and what issues have you run into? Is there anything else better available?įor what it is worth, I originally also purchased the CalDigit TS3 Plus docking station since that is the one Apple sells themselves directly and I figured since they sold it, it HAS to work and they would be able to assist, but that was not the case. The only fix I have found is to remove the AC plug from the back of the dock, wait 5 seconds, plug the AC adapter back into the dock, and then bam all three monitors are active and live again. The other two are still powered on, but receive no signal and do not wake up. Every once in a blue moon, when waking my Mac, only one of the three monitors is active. This means I have to always connect/disconnect at least two cables as opposed to just one anytime I need to take my MacBook with me. I have my Mac still directly connected to the original AC adapter as well. All three monitors are crisp, no need to lower any resolutions or make any compromises, and zero lag between monitors and/or programs. I have had this dock in use since November and it has worked beautifully. Plugable USB-C 4K Triple Display Docking Station: After a lot of reading, purchasing, testing, and returning, I landed on this: I purchased the new 16" MacBook Pro around release date and needed to update my dock due to wanting to utilize an older, third monitor for business purposes.
